First usage: giving consent, selecting an application folder and registering
The SimpleSign App allows you to sign documents and store them on your computer in an application folder.

When you first start using the SimpleSign App it will ask you in which folder you would like to store your documents. It is mandatory to choose an application folder. You will not be able to progress in the application without completing this step.
In this first step you will also be asked to give your consent. This application will process your identification information to allow you to sign documents. Your consent is needed to be able to work with this application. Press the Consent button.

After pressing the consent button the file explorer of your PC will open. Browse to the folder you want to use as an application folder and press open. Please note that read/write access to this folder is required.

You are only allowed to choose an existing folder on your PC. If the folder in which you want to store your signed documents does not exist, you need first to create the folder on your PC and then return to the application.
If you do not choose an application folder (by pressing the cancel button in the pop-up window) you will return to the initial setup screen and not be able to progress to the registration page
Registration of the application
This application needs a valid license key. You can obtain a license key by registering the application with a valid e-mail address. A valid license key will automatically be assigned to the application.

You will not be asked to give choose an application folder or register the second time you log into the application. The folder selected on your local system is used by the application to store uploaded and signed documents.
